Vicente Blat. María de Nazaret y Teresa de Lisieux. Editorial Monte Carmelo,
- 124 pp.
Divided into four chapters, this assingnment draws a portrait of the relationship
between two models of holiness who are at the center of the Carmel
experience: Mary of Nazareth and Thérèse of Lisieux. Its focus is biographical,
from the concrete experience of the saint who left us a legacy based on the
"little way", grounded on love and trust in God. The author examined the various
stages of St. Thérèse’s of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face’s life, from her
birth up through her dark night of the soul, and arrived to the conclusion that this
saint was one of the most remarkable Marian beacons that the hand of God lit
in the midst of the tribulations of the contemporary times. From these
reflections, the People of God will be able to perceive that there is an intimate
correlation between Mary and herself which certifies the general perception of
Carmel as a thoroughly Marian Order. Available in Spanish.
