Dear readers, today we present an article that seeks to trace the origins of the charism of the Discalced Carmelites in the experience of our foundress.
In this article, Pedro da Sagrada Família offers an interpretation which recognises, in classical texts such as the Book of Her Life, chapter 32, no. 11, and chapter 33, nos. 14–15, the indispensable role of the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph – centred on Jesus – in Saint Teresa’s experience.
