This book addresses a number of issues on the experience of a spiritual retreat,
having Mary and Abraham as models. Over the course of six days, dividing into
morning and afternoon, this assignment proposes a journey for a personal
encounter with God based on a fresh reading of the writings of St. Teresa of
Jesus, St. John of the Cross and St. Teresa of the Child Jesus and the Holy
Face. The path to the union of love with God is hereby considered as a fruit of a
prayer life totally centred on Christ, in which the Father pronounces His Word
through the Spirit and Mary is regarded as a model to be followed by all
Christians, as the design of salvation conceived by God to each one of us. On
this journey, every Christian is called to shape themselves into a soul of prayer
