Alfredo Mombrum. Vita di San Simone de Stock (translated from French by a monk from Lombardy). Siena: Tip. All’Ins. Di S. Bernardino, 1884.
This book presents us a biography of Saint Simon Stock, a thirteenth century eminent figure of the Carmelite Order’s History. Among the various sections that compose it, chapters XIV to XIX stand out, by studying various themes: Saint Simon’s canonization (XIV), miracles attributed to him (XVII) and a reflection on his writings (XV); the Scapular (XVI) and the Sabbatine Bull by Pope John XXII (XVII-XVIII). It should also be noted that this book was "honored with a special brief by His Holiness, Pope Pius IX" (cover). Assignment written in French and translated into Italian.
